Site is irrigated with an antiseptic like betadine and saline. Our dentist stitch the wound using sutures to promote healing. Gauze placed on wound and Drs will be asked to bite on it to control bleeding.

Postoperative Instructions 

1. After an hour remove gauze piece place by dentist .Patient need not to replace it.

2) After extraction some oozing of blood from wound is normal. 

3) Avoid spitting out blood and just swallow everything. 

4) Dentist prescribed painkillers. 

5) Hold a cold pack on outside of jaw, it can help relieve pain and prevent swelling. 

6) Avoid alcohol, hot beverages in the first 24 hours after extraction. 

7) Must eat soft and cold food. In first 24 to 48 hrs ,avoid hard, spicy food. It can irrigate wound healing and cause pain.

8) Do not rinse mouth for first 24 hrs after extraction. Brush teeth next day but be gentle while brushing close to extraction site.

Avoid tobacco, smoking until wound has healed.
